Employment Minister Parveen Kumar

“Have patience and wait for 2022 General Elections.”

This was a statement by Employment Minister Parveen Kumar to the Members of Opposition in parliament this morning.

Responding to the President’s speech, Kumar said the FijiFirst government will continue to serve all Fijians ensuring that no one is left behind.

Kumar says through the FijiFirst government, education has been made accessible to all students, there is equality of citizenship for all Fijians, women have been empowered and there is respect for law and order.

“Now we have entered the second year of the second term in office, I know why, I think, all of them in concluding, they will say resign, resign, resign. But I will tell them. Please have patience, wait for 2022 Elections.”

Kumar says the government ensures that we are at the forefront in the climate change fight which is a major challenge in the Pacific.
