Opposition MP Ro Teimumu Kepa says drugs have become a major problem in the country.

Opposition MP Ro Teimumu Kepa says drugs have become a major problem in the country.

In her address, Ro Teimumu said both sides of the House will need to work together to be able to address this growing issue.

The Opposition MP believes Fijians need to be protected as public safety is paramount.

“Have Human Rights been so limited and suppressed, rising crimes threaten the entire population including resident foreign diplomats. The latest horror show is the emergence of a gangster-style drug industry providing methamphetamine or ice spiked with rat poison.”

She says a collective effort is needed to address the drug issue.

 

“What is happening to our country sir, one wonders where have we gone wrong? Why are people doing this to themselves and to others?”

Ro Teimumu Kepa also raised other issues ranging from the minimum wage rate and the unemployment rate.
