There have been more calls for resignations in Parliament today with Health Minister Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete giving reasons on why almost all members of Opposition should quit.

Dr. Waqainabete says there has been a lot of banter and empty rhetoric from the Opposition this week.

“Honorable Speaker I believe what honorable Inia Seruiratu said that should happen – the Leader of opposition should resign. Honorable Adi Litia and Honorable Tovata Bulitavu should resign because they’re the mastermind behind him. Honorable Ro Teimumu should resign because she was taken out from her post by honorable leader of opposition. Turaga Tui Cakau should not resign because his my Chief from Tovata.”

The Minister says the President hit the nail on the head when he said that elected representatives of all Fijians should deliver solutions to greater challenges.

“Honorable Ratu Antonio should not resign because the Chief is also staying. Honorable Rasova should resign because he is neither there nor here. If he had his way. He will be this side. Honorable Tovata Nawaikula he should resign but don’t resign. Honorable Gavoka should resign because he said something different from what we gave. The figures – the GPD was different. Dr. Waqainabete assured the Opposition side that he and other Government MPs have been working hard and see no reason why they should resign.
