Opposition and SODELPA MP’s Mosese Bulitavu and Niko Nawaikula have been blamed for going against the leadership of the party.

The allegation was made by Fisheries Minister Semi Koroilavesau while responding to a question yesterday in parliament.

Koroilavesau slammed Bulitavu and Nawaikula by informing parliament that they were the ones who went against the party leader.

“They don’t even respect the iTaukei leadership within their own party which include the honourable Ro Temumu Kepa and Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, Nawaikula chooses to lead a rebellion with a few members of the opposition.”

This claim was refuted by Nawaikula.

“He said I led a rebellion in the opposition, totally wrong, factually wrong, can you withdraw that please, do not misrepresent”

Nawaikula also told Koroilavesau to try and debate on policies and not personalizing issues.

However, the Speaker did not make a ruling on whether Koroilavesau should withdraw his comment.
