November 15, 2014 12:06 am

Parliament Operations is running at capacity with continued assistance from donors and the recruitment of additional staff.

Secretary General to Parliament, Viniana Namosimalua says a recent tour of New Zealand’s parliament has been invaluable with a number of their systems and processes expected to be adopted to fit in with Fiji’s parliamentary processes.

“We are running abit smoothly now that we have recruited people and sorted the assistance from UNDP and others who have, are willing to help us out and pretty happy that we are getting things organized and we’ve gone on that NZ tour to see how they do things there and we’ve come back with new ideas and we’re actually going to be implementing some of the things we’ve seen in the next few months.”
