Parliament resumes today

Parliament will sit for a week from today.

A number of annual and committee reports will be presented today.

Members of the parliament will also ask oral questions.

Opposition MP Salote Radrodro will be asking the Transport Minister on what is being done to address the traffic jam due to increased number of vehicles on our roads.

The schedule also has a question for the Employment Ministry on what measures have been put in place to increase the minimum wage rate.

A question will also be posed to the Defence Minister on the recent trend in overall crime.

Opposition MP Viliame Gavoka is expected to move a motion on debate ‘That the parliament expresses its support to FSC for engaging with the iTaukei cane farmers through co-operative and joint ventures.
