The Fijian Parliament Bus came to an end today at Korovou Town.

The main objective of the Parliament Bus programme was to bring Parliament closer to the people by informing communities about the role of Parliament and how they can be involved in the democratic process.

The team also distributed handouts and factsheets that contain important information about the Fijian Parliament.

Earlier in the year, the team conducted the same programme in the Bua Province, Labasa, Savusavu, Tailevu, Ba, Tavua, Nadi, Lautoka, Yasawa, Rewa, villages in Tailevu and around Suva area.

The Civic Education and Media team of Parliament will continue this programme next year.

They expect to visit more schools and villages in the rural and maritime islands.
