June 12, 2018 3:58 am

The Civic Education and media team of Parliament is currently in the Western Division visiting schools in Ba and Tavua conducting a week-long Parliament Bus programme.

The programme enables the villagers and students to learn more about Parliament, understand the works of Parliament and how they can engage with Parliament.

Parliament Bus is the Fijian Parliament’s community connections flagship.

The travelling roadshow is visiting communities in Nadarivutu and Nadala in the interior of Ba.

Reinforcing the theme of parliament reaching out to people, the Parliament Bus program complements the Meet the Speaker project in which the Speaker of the House Dr. Jiko Luveni goes out into the community to explain her role and how Fijians can participate in the parliamentary processes.
