Paradise Beverages committed to promoting local musicians

June 18, 2018 4:37 am

Paradise Beverages will continue to support local music talent after re-signing as major sponsor for the Thurston Music and Food festival, a family event to be held next month.

General Manager of Marketing Rowena Taito says they have seen the growth and appreciation of local music but there’s still more to be done to help the industry.

‘It’s a really important platform not just for celebrating live music but for budding musicians. There’s so many up and coming talents that we have seen grow over the last couple of years and we need lots of support to continue that growth and we are on board and we’re trying to encourage more people to support this as well.’

Festival organizers, Knox Entertainment Director Ellana Bickerdike says the support allows them to provide a platform to host more events.

The music festival will be held on the 14th of next month from 10am-10pm at Suva’s Thurston garden.

There will be loads of food and hours of non-stop entertainment from 12 local bands along with dance, live theatre and interactive art.

Tickets are now on sale at FBC, Ginger Kitchen and the ROC Café.
