Paradise Beverages assessing situation after fire

The Paradise Beverages company is currently assessing their situation now following the fire at their storage room in Walubay Suva yesterday afternoon.

The fire started around 2pm and it took seventy five fire fighters more than four hours to contain the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

Paradise Beverages Fiji General Manager Mike Spencer informed FBC News this morning that they are currently assessing the situation and will be able to provide more details later today.

Meanwhile, the National Fire Authority will begin its investigation today to determine the cause of fire.

Chief Fire Officer, Qionilau Moceitai says the team was able to contain the fire to the area of origin.

NFA says it is understood there was a storage room located above the administration rooms which contained a lot of flammable advertising
Moceitai says the Suva Fire Station was alerted through its fire monitoring alarm system.

The area was guarded by police last night.
