Businessman, Ben Padarath will remain in custody until January next year when his case is called again.

The Lautoka Magistrates Court today set a date for January 29th for mention.
Padarath is charged for attempting to stowaway in a foreign vessel from the Lautoka Wharf in July.

Padarath was apprehended by customs staff during a routine check.

He was found with almost $3000 cash.

The court denied him bail saying he was a risk and would attempt to escape again.
