Padarath further remanded

Suva businessman Ben Padarath and lawyer Aseri Vakaloloma have entered a not guilty plea to a charge of forgery against them.

The two appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili atn the Suva Magistrates Court today.

It is alleged that between October 14th and 31st of December 2009 – the two – with the intent to defraud, forged a document namely the articles of association for BECP Engineering Construction Fiji Limited.

They made a false page of the Articles of Association by altering the particulars of a subscriber from Adishwar Padarath of 57 Duncan Road Domain, Suva to Voreqe Bainimarama of 228, Ratu Sukuna Road.

Vakaloloma hds placed the signature as the witness of the purported subscriber and Padarath had placed his signature as one of the subscribers.

Padarath has been further remanded while Vakaloloma is out on bail.

The case has been adjourned to the 3rd of August for pre trial conference.
