Pacific Island nations to work collectively

Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola has stated that small Pacific Island nation should work collectively to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Kubuabola says a streamline approach is needed to focus on certain areas of the SDGs.

The Minister is encouraging every government in the Pacific region to collaborate better to ensure that these SDG’s are met.

“Harnessing traditional knowledge used to be part of the conversation of implementing these SDG’s for example SDG eleven, building sustainable cities and communities.”

He adds there are emerging issue in the Pacific that needs scale up investment in research and convening in development dialogue.
