Pacific Island leaders attending the COP 21 meeting in Paris have been urged to make a stand and deliver a bold new international climate change agreement.
This was the message imparted to over a hundred people who were present at the Pacific People’s Climate March in Suva today.
Speaker of Parliament, Dr Jiko Luveni, also joined people from all walks of life to call on world leaders to achieve a legally binding universal agreement
“Your presence here this morning bears witness to the gravity of climate challenge we can all relate to, our decisions and actions have significance consequences and we all possess the power to chart a safer more sustainable prosperous course for us and our future generation.”
