Pacific Island countries have low carbon footprints: AG

Many Pacific Island countries have a really low carbon footprints.

The Minister responsible for climate change Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says funds are required for adaptation purposes as Fiji has more adaptation space.

Sayed-Khaiyum says we need partnership of all stakeholders in order to address the issue of climate change.

“We have national determined contribution that Fiji has actually made a commitment to reduce carbon emissions by thirty percent by 2030 and we look forward to implementing issues such as energy efficiency using more renewable energy and using a cleaner and greener transportation.”

Sayed-Khaiyum says we need to be creative and innovative in order to reduce the global rising temperatures.
