PAC to scrutinize reports comprehensively

July 15, 2016 8:31 pm

The Public Accounts Committee will sit again next week to look at previous auditor general’s reports.

PAC chairman Ashneel Sudhakar says these include reports that have not been tabled in Parliament and the ones that have already been discussed.

Sudhakar says they will not rush through it as it’s a comprehensive work but will ensure they identify any issues that need to be addressed.

“We’re going to assess all that and we’re doing a comprehensive program, we’re reading page by page and word by word of every auditor general’s reports that was submitted to parliament.”

Seven reports from 2009 to 2015 that have been tabled in Parliament are yet to be scrutinized by the new committee.
