The boat captain alleged to have failed to declare a large quantity of different ammunition during a search on a New Zealand based yacht in Savusavu on Tuesday has been charged.

The New Zealand national has been charged with one count of failure to declare arms and ammunition to a customs officer.

He will be produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court today.

The other two suspects have been questioned and released.

The yacht Waipawa, was berthed at the Savusavu Bay when it was searched by police and customs officers.
