Over a thousand applications have been received by the Housing Authority for the new Davuilevu Housing project in Nausori.
This has been confirmed to FBC News by Housing Authority Development General Manager, Isikeli Navuda.
Navuda says all applications will follow a thorough process before units are awarded.
“We have quite a lot of application .The issue here is we have mixed development of low housing, middle and a few high end housing as well apart from strata .But the numbers that we have received is thousand or more applications.”
There will be five hundred and sixty single lots while two sites have been allocated for strata housing to accommodate 300 to 500 units.
The thirty-two million dollar project that will accommodate more than two thousand families and will be ready by next year.
