The Independent Bus Fare Review Committee has received over nine thousand two hundred verbal and written submission since last month.

Committee Chair Joel Abraham says apart from the texting platform, all other submission platforms have now closed.

However, he is still encouraging people to send in their submissions.

Abraham say a wide range of issues have been raised by the general public in relation to the bus industry.

“Some of the issues that were raised were the general reduction in bus fares, people talked about bus services, mainly congestion issue, some environmental issues which were oil spillages, smoke, high smoke emissions, then there were issues relating to driver conducts.”

Abraham says they have started to analyse the submissions before a report is tabled.
