The Police has booked over 2, 700 drivers for speeding in just the first 15 days of this year.

Director Traffic, SSP Mahesh Mishra say its concerning to note that drivers continue to disregard the law despite several reminders and warnings.

The police has also recorded two fatalities for the same period.

SSP Mishra says careless driving is another area of concern as over 200 drivers were booked for this offence.

59 drivers were arrested for drunk drive between January 1st and the 15th.

He says they will continue to penalize drivers who will break the road rules.
