More than 600-thousand tourists spent over a billion and a half dollars in Fiji in 2014.
Most of them came from Australia and New Zealand.
Releasing the 2014 International visitor Survey, Minister for Tourism, Faiyaz Koya said the report will be used as a tool to enhance tourist facilities in the country.
A 42 percent decline in returning visitors was also noted for 2014.
“This information from the report is taken to develop policies that will create an environment that ensures visitor’s needs are met and helps the Fijian tourism industry.”
The survey was conducted by StollzNow Research.
