Opposition Leader extends Eid greetings

Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa has extended her Eid greetings to Muslim brothers and sisters throughout Fiji.

Ro Teimumu says Eid is a significant celebration in the Islamic calendar where they mark the end of a month-long fast of Ramadan.

She says this is a time where a sense of generosity and gratitude colors these celebrations.

On the same note Ro Teimumu says her prayers are with the people of Turkey, Baghdad, Syria and other Middle East nations who are currently facing difficult times in their homelands.

Eid is celebrated after 30 days of fasting and prays during the month of Ramazan.

To mark the occasion, there will be feasting and sharing of sweets among Muslims and Fijians of all faiths.
