New Zealand will continue to support Fiji’s education sector.

New Zealand High Commissioner Mark Ramsden says they are already supporting education through many programmes and it will continue to do so in the future.

Ramsden says a large number of students from Fiji go to New Zealand to complete their studies.

“Fiji of course has great universities. New Zealand has been a long term supporter of the University of the South Pacific, we are a supporter of that and we are supporting students from Fiji to want to further their studies through scholarships given to them.”

The High Commissioner says they’re still deciding whether they will offer more scholarships for Fijian students to study in New Zealand in coming years.
