Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum has again stressed that there a number of issues in the Ministry of Education that needs to be rectified.

Speaking during the re-opening of Naria Primary School in Rakiraki, Sayed Khaiyum says these problems have also painted a bad image on the Ministry.

“And it is precisely what we are doing and it’s precisely why we are carrying out the review. There is obviously some issues through the Ministry of Education that we are trying to rectify and there are a number of changes that are taking place.”

Sayed Khaiyum however praised the efforts put in by teachers in delivering their service to students.

He says that the Ministry of Education should understand that teachers are very important as they are the ones who are looking after the students.
