A 67-year-old man charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Notorious criminal, Iliaseri Saqasaqa is yet again back in court after holding 83 previous convictions.

With the case currently before the court, on Saturday police officers who were on foot patrol along the Suva car park found a vehicle containing clear zip-lock plastic with a white substance and a syringe.

Upon analysis, police confirmed the substance was Methamphetamine weighing 0.082 grams.

The Magistrate granted bail on strict conditions and warned Saqasaqa not to re-offend while on bail.

Saqasaqa was also told to bring a suitable surety on the next court date.

The case will be recalled on the 25th of next month.
