An interfaith prayer ceremony will be held in Labasa tomorrow for the victims of the Christchurch shootings.

Organised by the Macuata Muslim League and the Office of the Commissioner Northern, the prayer ceremony is open to the general public.

Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea says Vanua Levu also mourns with New Zealand in the loss of loved ones during the attack at the two mosques, Masjid Al Noor and Linwood mosque.

“We are inviting everybody to attend. All the HOD’s have been sent an invite. There are certain prayer groups that have confirmed their participation. We just want to stand together with the rest of Fiji in the remembrance of those souls lost in the shooting in Christchurch a week ago.”

The prayer vigil will be held at the Labasa Civic Center and is scheduled to begin at 11am.
