Normal classes for Penang students

A hundred and fifty chairs and desks will be distributed this morning to students of Penang Sangam School.

The school had ten of its classrooms destroyed in a fire last week.

Permanent Secretary for Education Dr Brij Lal says normal classes will resume tomorrow.

Dr Lal says partitions will be placed in the middle of the school hall so it can be used by form four students.

“Everything will continue normal but there may be some slight problems with text books and other things which will be sorted out this week.”

The cost of the damage is yet to be determined.
