The dispute on Beach Road in Denarau is still on a deadlock between Denarau Waters and Denarau Corporation Limited.

The access road runs around the outer boundary of the Golf Course located on the Southern part of Denarau Island.

Denarau Waters claim there is an existing Public Right of Way over Beach Road.

They state this right has existed historically prior to the Denarau Island Resort development and continues to exist.

Currently Denarau Waters has a multimillion dollar project that is being built on one side of the island with the access being from Beach Road.

Denarau Waters claim that Denarau Corporation Limited has no right to block Beach Road.

However, Denarau Corporation is claiming that Beach Road is a private road.

When contacted by FBC News, DCL General Manager Bob Speed says the matter is being dealt with by their lawyers.

The two parties also met with Minister Lands Ashneel Sudhakar over the dispute on Monday.
