A 28 year old man is still in Police custody following the death of his wife yesterday morning.
The incident took place on Amy Street in Toorak.
It is alleged the suspect assaulted his 32 year old wife, following a heated argument whilst returning from clubbing in the early hours of the morning.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the deceased who has been identified as Losana McGowan was allegedly assaulted and pushed by the suspect when she fell and hit her head on the concrete floor.
The suspect than turned himself in at the Totogo Police Station and reported the matter.
The deceased, Losana McGowan is a former Fijian Journalist and more recently worked with the Fijian Elections Office and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community
Investigations continue.
