No one is to be felt behind in the Diwali celebrations says Sugar Cane Growers Council Chief Executive Sundresh Chetty.

Chetty says all cane crushing has stopped for today to allow the farmers to spend time with their families.

He says while everyone is indulging themselves in the celebrations, it’s important to be mindful of firecrackers near the cane fields.

Chetty adds crushing will commence tomorrow.

The Sugar Cane Growers Council is wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Diwali.
