He says most school managements, committees and parents were left to their own devices to offer and expand educational services and unfortunately, this did not change even after independence.

The PM says now things have changed as schools has Fijians from all backgrounds with proper classrooms, free childhood, primary and secondary education, free textbooks and have subsidized transportation to school.

There is also unprecedented scholarships and access to tertiary loans.

He adds this is also one of the reasons, the Government invested over $1 billion in the education sector for the first time in Fijian history.

Bainimarama says his government is dedicated to opening as many doors as possible for children.
