No excuses for officers in service delivery

February 17, 2018 7:29 pm

There’s no excuse for police officers when it comes to delivering services needed by the public.

This was stated by Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Itendra Nair after 150 officers completed a month-long Constable Qualifying Course (CQC) at the Police Academy.

Nair says as frontline officers they are the very ones projecting the image of their organization as they’re dealing with the public on a daily basis.

He adds that they will be judged on how they deliver services and when this fails in a professional manner, complaints will be made.

The Constable Qualifying Course is a promotional course for officers who have undergone the basic training course.

The month-long course is aimed at teaching the officers to develop an effective implementation of laws, maintain and enhance service delivery, effectively use resources and understand administrative matters.

The officers were from the North, South, East and West.
