Firefighters were able to control a morning fire that broke out at the Max Val-U Harvest Supermarket on Khalsa Road in Nasinu, Suva.

An eye witness informed FBC News that the fire started from the supermarket bulk at around 10.30am.

However, firefighters were quick to arrive at the scene and managed to control the fire from spreading to the entire supermarket complex.

The supermarket which is on the World Harvest Church premises was closed for business today, hence, no one was affected by the fire.

The National Fire Authority and Police have confirmed they are investigating the cause of the fire.
