The main highway in Lami town will be closed at night from this Sunday.

This as the Fiji Roads Authority will be carrying out pavement reconstruction and surfacing works on Queens Road in Lami Town.

FRA says due to the reconstruction work the main highway will be closed at night starting this Sunday from 8.00pm to 5.00am until 12th September.

FRA says each night traffic will be diverted through the side streets of Lami Town with clearly set out detour routes in place to guide motorists.

In addition to this planned reconstruction, pre-works will begin under Stop/ Go traffic management starting from 8pm tonight till 5am.

FRA says during this time, traffic will be reduced to a single lane with maximum of 10 minutes delays allowed.
