Night Club license a concern: Methodist Church

August 15, 2018 7:28 pm

The Methodist Church of Fiji will propose to the government to review the operating hours of night clubs in Suva.

Acting General Secretary Reverend Jeremaia Waqainabete says this will be a major point of discussion during the conference meeting which starts next Monday.

Waqainabete says they’re concerned with some of the night clubs that operate till the early hours of the morning during the weekends.

He says many youths are night club dwellers and for them to live a discipline life government will need to reduce the hours a night club can operate.

“And on that note we are also proposing to request government to reconsider the policies that has enable the night clubs to open until the early mornings of Saturday and Sunday.”

Meanwhile the Methodist Church conference continues at Furnival Park in Toorak with a proper meeting to start next week.
