September 13, 2018 6:24 pm

The non-governmental Organization for suicide prevention, Youth Champs 4 Mental Health yesterday received close to $2,000 aid from an international group of volunteers.

Group 93 is a collection of young volunteers that traveled from across the US to join different NGO’s and Ministries around Fiji.

Peace Corps volunteer, David Denton says the work of YC4MH has impacted most lives in the communities.

Denton says the funding provided by Group 93 will be geared towards assisting those affected by suicide.

“The biggest take away from it is that volunteers are imputed in communities and visually see Youth Champs come in and do some amazing work with the people of Fiji and for me, I love the content that they put out, i love their drive and motivation.”

The Group 93 has been in the country since 2016 – completing their serving work with Peace Corps this year.

Denton says they will continue to support Youth Champs 4 Mental Health in the awareness to prevent suicide.
