NFP to allocate $1 billion to few areas if they form government

November 2, 2018 4:44 am

If they form government, the National Federation Party will allocate over $1 billion over the next four years to a few areas.

NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad says these areas include their package of policies and measures for reducing the cost of living, improving public health care and education.

Prasad says they don’t really care what the current government says now.
He says the current government is yesterday’s story and NFP is tomorrow’s story.

Prasad adds they are ready to deliver.

“Attar Singh and I had a meeting with the garment manufacturers who criticized our minimum wage policy. We had a good conversation. We have not agreed on everything – not yet. But we are talking to each other. We are working together. And that is exactly how we want it to be – with everybody.”

Prasad claims that Fiji has had too many years of two-man rule, propped up by propaganda and handouts – claiming people want something different.

The Party Leader says that majority of the policies outlined in their manifesto and other policy statements are cost neutral and will be funded by budgetary realignments.

Prasad reiterates their manifesto is about re-empowering Fijians with fundamental freedoms and the ability to live and work with dignity.
