National Federation Party leader Biman Prasad says the NFP stands by the rule of law.

In his Presidential address yesterday Ratu Epeli Nailatikau called for political leaders to publicly condemn acts of sedition and attempts to subvert the 2014 election results.

Professor Prasad says the NFP has always held this belief.

“Well I think the Defence Minister made it very clear in parliament that things are all very good and that is a good assurance and as far as the National Federation Party is concerned we have always stood by the rule of law and that is our philosophy, that is our principal – we have never in the history of this country as a political party supported any activity which causes instability in the country and that is the NFP position and as the leader of the party that is the principal on which we work.”

Parliament sits next week to debate the President’s address.
