NFP Leader needs better advisers: Riyaz

March 18, 2018 6:28 pm

Fiji Broadcasting Corporation chief executive, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, says the National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad needs better advisers.

Sayed-Khaiyum was responding to NFP’s Facebook post which claimed that the Walesi National Digital Television platform is being managed by FBC.

Sayed-Khaiyum says NFP Leader Biman Prasad is receiving incorrect information from his support staff.

“It is a crying shame that the people who give information and advice to the leader of such a prominent party have got it so wrong and have absolutely embarrassed him because he relies on information that is given to him and they have him information which was absolutely wrong. FBC does not manage Walesi and in the process – they embarrassed their own leader and if I were Mr. Prasad, I would be very upset with the people who are giving me the information because it has made him look very silly.”

The Walesi Limited is a government commercial company that is governed and managed by its own board of directors and not by FBC of any other television broadcaster in Fiji.
