The National Fire Authority has completed its investigation into a fire which destroyed six flats in Howell Road, Suva on Tuesday.

Chief Fire Officer John O’Connor says they have interviewed the victims and other people who were present at the scene… and are now testing some materials gathered from the site.

A report is expected to be compiled by early next week.

Five families lost all their belongings in the blaze on Tuesday afternoon.

More than 30 people are now sheltering at the Sangam Hall.

Meanwhile the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation has launched an appeal to help raise funds for the victims.
