The National Fire Authority has confirmed that an investigation into the cause of the Caines Janniff Factory Fire yesterday as well as a Tissue Manufacturing business has begun.
FBC News understands that the investigation could take up to 10 days to complete before the findings are then handed over to the relevant authorities.
The NFA have however confirmed that the flammable materials inside the two businesses led to the quick aggression of the fire which completely destroyed the buildings.
Strong winds at the time as well posed a challenge to containing the fire which created volumes of smoke filtering through the entire area of Carpenter Street in Raiwai, Suva.
A total of four fire trucks and more than 35 firefighters were engaged to put out the significant blaze.
