The Ministry of i-Taukei Affairs has launched its new corporate uniform and the permanent secretary, Savenaca Kaunisela says he hopes it will help improve the ministry’s image.

Kaunisela emphasised that staff members need to maintain their professional look at all times.

“Our uniforms will be worthless if we do not demonstrate our professions work ethics at all times. Our uniforms must be worn at all times with pride and respected.”

Kaunisela says civil servants in the ministry will need to engage the public more.

“Wearing uniform is one thing, performance is another. I hope we will be mindful that these two will always be the central point and we need to ensure they are embraced by all. We have to show others what we can do. Show the people we serve the joy that comes from being fully committed to our mission and tangible results of our work.”

Kaunisela urged his team members to lift their standard of service delivery.
