The Diabetes Fiji today received over 20 Samsung tablets from the Latter Day Saints Church in a bid to improve more awareness.
Diabetes Fiji Footcare Project Manager Viliame Qio says the tablets will also be utilized to fulfill the project to provide more information to children with type one diabetes.
He says educational apps will also be downloaded on the tablets to ensure children understand the effects of this growing killer disease.
“The apps will be downloaded from the international diabetes federation and that apps will be used for education of our target audience the children, parents, care givers and also the teachers”
The tablets will be used by officials from Diabetes Fiji to carry out education on diabetes when visiting communities or during outreach programs.
The tablets was worth more than nine thousand dollars.
