A new Political party is ready to contest the 2014 elections.

The National Youth Party was actually set up in 2005 but never took part in the 2006 elections.

Party leader Nayagodamu Korovou says their platform is to be the voice of the youth in Fiji’s political arena.

“What we really want to do is for youths to be recognised as a driving force for the development of the nation.”

The party claims it has three hundred members…and in the next month or so the they will decide how they will approach the 2014 elections.
