New police post to be built in Flagstaff

January 15, 2018 6:11 pm

A new Police Post for Flagstaff became a reality today when Fiji Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho signed a lease agreement with the developers of a new shopping complex on Bau Street.

The new Police Post is the result of a determined cooperative effort between the Police force, the Flagstaff community and Police Association as well as the property owner of the Fiji Marist Brothers Trust Board.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says the new Police Post will serve a large community of family householders and commercial activity including the protection of children.

“Signing an agreement like what we are doing today will greatly assist us in dealing with this issues, Flagstaff i live close by and i move around there quiet a lot so my OC at Totogo will know very well because if there were a group of drunkards hanging around asking for money i will call him up and tell him we should do something about this that’s why you never see them around anymore.”

The Flagstaff Community will continue to assist the Police with what is necessary to reduce crime around the area.
