New on-call room for CWM paediatricians

Paediatricians at Suva’s CWM hospital have a much better room to rest and wait for emergency calls.

This was possible after the refurbishment of the Doctors On-Call room at the Children’s Ward.

The $30,000 grand make-over was made possible through the partnership between Digicel and the International Women’s Association.

Digicel CEO Mike Greig says this will greatly benefit the staff who work tireless long hours.

“We hope this new look on call room will add value to the ward and also help our doctors and nurses perform their duty of call better than before and this provides a pleasant environment for all to work in which in turn will help in better patient care and clinical decisions made by our medical personnel.”

The works included: installation of new conditioning units, new table tops, new screens on all windows, new curtains, ceiling tiles and other items that doctors and nurses need.
