New Legal Aid Office in Savusavu

The people of Cakaudrove won’t have to travel to Labasa to access free legal services following the commissioning of a new Legal Aid Commission office in Savusavu.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while officiating at the event emphasised Government’s commitment to justice, equal opportunity and access to services for ordinary Fijians.

Bainimarama says a team of professional staff will be available to provide individuals with an annual income below $15,000 with free counsel.

A range of legal services will be provided which includes areas of family, criminal and civil law.

Bainimarama will open another Legal Aid office in Nabouwalu today.
