August 24, 2018 12:38 am

The construction of the new Kiuva Kaba rural road is currently underway.

Acting FRA Chief Executive Robert Sen says the scope of work involves the construction of the new 8.5km unseal road with a new 20 meter Irish Crossing including drainage work and slope improvement.

“The contract began in February 2018. The completion date would be around Feb next year depending on the weather, the major challenge we faced is the weather but we are hopeful that the project will be completed on time.”

Sen says working on untouched bushes and swampy grounds is also a major challenge for their contractors.

The new road once completed will provide access to Kaleli, Vatani and Dromuna village which are presently using boats as their means of transportation.
