Fiji is moving towards reducing carbon emissions and as part of go green new industries will be set up.
Employment Ministry Permanent Secretary Salaseini Daunabuna says this will create jobs for all those who are capable of managing and creating solar panels.
“Green jobs is the platform that has been explained about using climate change to effectively deliver in terms of the workface and this is by using digital economies to help us to transition and ensure any transition that takes place with regards to climate change is just transition”
Daunabuna says the Ministry will train people with the right kind of skills needed to take advantage of the new job opportunities.
She says the Employment Ministry is moving towards Industrial Revolution which will be brought through industrialization.
