A 39 year old carpenter of Waiqanake, outside Lami whose house was hit by a natural disaster last year is a happy man today.
Non-profit organisation Habitat for Humanity constructed a new home for him and his family which was completed yesterday.
George Tamadra, his wife and five children have been living with another family after their house was devastated.
He then applied for assistance with the Habitat for Humanity a non-profit Christian organization that was founded in 1976 to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness.
National Director Habitat, Masi Latianara says after assessing the living condition of the Tamadra family they identified the need to help.
The materials of the home are funded by New Zealand Aid which is their bilateral partners.
Local and international board members of Habitat for Humanity assisted in the construction of the home.
